Just as God led the children of Israel by a pillar of fire by night, likewise, there are three pillars of fire, that will assist us in understanding and maintaining the passion and desire necessary to successfully fulfill the work that God has assigned to us.
Potential: Simply speaking potential is all of the "untapped" resources that God has placed in us in order to fulfill the assignment that he has given us. A match has only the potential to create fire until it is ignited. A set of car keys has only the potential to start a car unless you put it in the ignition and give it a turn. (I Corinthians 2:9-16)
Purpose: Purpose is the reason and intent for our existence. Why does God ordain some for one purpose and others for another? It is because He has made all of us unique and individual based on the assignment that he wants us to fulfill in the earth. God designed us with a designated purpose before the "foundation of the world." (Ephesians 1:5-6, Ephesians 1:11-12)
Pursuit: Pursuit has to do with the passion and commitment by which we seek the vision of God to fulfill our purpose. (Proverbs 29:18) In addition, pursuit speaks to the timing and fulfillment of our purpose based on the sovereignty of God himself, and our passion to arrive at the destination that he has ordained. (Habakkuk 2:2-4)
